Vodice

Vodice are located between Zadar and Sibenik. Even though Vodice are full of old stone building and churches they are mostly famous for their nightlife and the big Vodička festa what occurs on beggining of August. They are a very visited place with a good offer for young adults with lots of discos and pubs. Also just few km outside of Vodice is the famous Hacienda disco that has been working for decades.

Vodice were first mentioned in 1402 although it was founded already in the Roman times as Arausa. Its name derives from the word meaning water sources which supplied the whole area. The defense walls from the times of the Turks with the Coric tower testify the past times. Other similar monuments are St. Cross' church on the former graveyard, built in 1421 and the parish church in the town centre built in 1746.

We recommend going to Vodice mostly for nightlife parties, but also in June if you wish to go on a family holiday due to the fact that Vodice is easily reachable from Zadar which is well connected with all types of transportation.
