NP Kornati

In the central part of the Croatian Adriatic, in the west from Sibenik and south from Zadar is the archipelago of Croatia, also known as the Kornati islands. Today the NP KORNATI occupies the area of about 220km2 and includes about 89 islands, islets and cliffs.

The name of the islands originates from the name of the largest island in the archipelago called Kornat. They have a unique appealing look that is unique in the world and is also UNESCO protected. The islands are full of beautiful beaches such as the island Levrnaka. There are also archeological findings of old roman settlements.

In this archipelago one can also find a large number of restaurants, each one located in its separate bay. The climate of Kornati is the same as in other parts of Dalmatia with very warm summers with an average temperature of 24° C in July and the average sea temperature of 22.8° C.
